What our guests say

Thanks for a great holiday – we enjoyed every experience particularly the walks, accommodation, food and company. We will have life long memories of our walking tour of Northern Italy.

– Graham & Jill

Thank you Bruno & Christine for a wonderful tour. In a few word “Buonissimo” our Northern Italian walking tour was a smorgasbord of breathtaking scenery, compelling history, cultural insights, fine Italian cuisine and wines and many captivating Italian characters all superbly packaged and led by you both.

– Ellis & Bronwyn

Many thanks for a wonderful tour of Northern Italy. We certainly met the locals and felt that we were a part of this beautiful region. The tour was set at a very comfortable pace which made the distance travelled by both walking and train easy and rewarding. Once again thank you for showing us this colourful Region of Northern Italy and your great pre-tour info reading.

– Bob & Barbara

Thanks to Bruno & Christine for the wonderful experience we shared with you and 14 other intrepid adventurers which ended far too quickly. The food, the views and camaraderie of the tour group were complemented by the care and attention given to us. This adventure will remain high on our list of memorable experiences.

– Mario & Cheryl

Thanks again for an interesting and informative trip, we really appreciated how much preparation you put into the program. It’s not only all that but also the way you looked after us so well too, we will remember this for a very long time. Let us know any future trips planned and we will be there!!

– Fred & Susan

Itinerary

DAY 1 To Oberon

Lunch & dinner included

Depart Nowra at 6:00am, Wollongong 7:30am, Sutherland 8:30am and Strathfield 9:30am, then on to Mittagong for a morning tea stop. We make our way west to Wombeyan Caves where we enjoy a picnic lunch at this popular reserve.  Plenty of time to do the self- guided Fig Tree Cave finishing at Victoria Arch or to just enjoy this beautiful area. From here we drive along quiet back roads leading up onto the Oberon Plateau.  We check into the Big Trout Motel for the next four nights – one of the best country motels to be found.

DAY 2 To Yerranderie "ghost town"

Breakfast, lunch & dinner included

Today is full of adventure, historical intrigue and sensational Blue Mountains scenery! Our three hour journey to the “ghost town” of Yerranderie along an old stock route takes us across the Great Dividing Range where high altitudes support forests of snow gums and views over the southern section of the Blue Mountains are superb. A guided tour of the former silver mining town that was cut off from civilisation by the Warragamba Dam is one of the highlights of today.

DAY 3 Mayfield Garden

Breakfast, lunch & dinner included

Mayfield Garden is one of the largest privately owned cool climate gardens in the world. Years of development and investment of tens of millions of dollars in the garden have resulted in this amazing place.

DAY 4 Burraga, Rockley & Carcoar

Breakfast, lunch & dinner included

A day spent visiting the many pretty little villages of the Central Highlands.  At Burraga we see the old copper mines with massive brick chimney then via Rockley and Trunkey Creek to Carcoar for lunch and an  inspection of the old court house and museum.  Later we visit Barry, Newbridge, Georges Plains, Perthville and O’Connell.

DAY 5 Kanangra Walls & Jenolan Caves

Breakfast & lunch included

To Kanangra Walls for a short walk to where some of the best views of the Blue Mountains can be enjoyed then to Jenolan caves for a picnic lunch stop and time to do a cave inspection (own expense) or enjoy one of the pleasant walks.  We drive via Katoomba and return to Strathfield at approximately 5:00pm, Sutherland 6:00pm, Wollongong 7:30pm and Nowra 8:30pm.
